Paperjam is recruiting a « Head of Digital Strategy and Platforms » (m/w/x).

General Role

As Head of Digital strategy and Platforms, you will lead the digital product team of Paperjam and be responsible for the maintenance, evolution and innovation of our digital platforms — including paperjam.lu and the digital infrastructure supporting the Paperjam Club. Your mission will be to ensure these platforms serve our dual ambition: delivering high-quality, business-relevant media content to our audiences, and offering a premium, digital-first experience to our club members and partners.

You will play a pivotal role in connecting editorial excellence, business engagement and technological innovation. You will ensure that our digital products reflect and amplify the value Maison Moderne brings to its readers, members and clients — across content, events and services.

You will report to the COO, work closely with the Head of IT and the Executive Committee, and collaborate with editorial, marketing, event and commercial teams to develop digital solutions that are robust, user-centric and business-driven. You will bring a strong product vision, a passion for innovation and AI, and proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams.

Paperjam aims to be at the forefront of user experience — in content delivery, platform usability and service design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for all Paperjam’s digital products, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs.
  • Structure and lead a high-performing digital product team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance, quality, scalability and performance of existing platforms while driving the development of new features or products.
  • Champion a user-centric approach across design, development and optimisation processes, using data and feedback loops to guide decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT, editorial, commercial and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration between digital products and business processes.
  • Actively explore and test the use of AI (e.g. generative AI, recommendation systems, automation) to enhance internal tools, editorial production and audience engagement.
  • Develop and manage external partnerships with key technology providers, digital agencies or SaaS vendors.
  • Define KPIs and track product performance, ensure on-time delivery and manage the digital product budget.

Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management or digital leadership roles. Experience in media, publishing or B2B platforms is a strong plus.
  • Strong track record in managing digital products end-to-end, from strategy to delivery, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI, Agile methodologies, API-first architectures, CRM integration and data analytics.
  • Passionate about innovation and hands-on knowledge or strong interest in applying artificial intelligence to digital products.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, structure and grow a team, while fostering an open, constructive and outcome-oriented culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, and able to act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). French is a strong asset.
  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in digital, tech, business or product innovation.
