Our activities are organised in three business lines: a Publishing House, home to our influential media brands Paperjam ; a Brand Studio, which advises companies and institutions on their communications strategies; and a Paperjam Club, the main business club and networking platform in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
Paperjam is recruiting an
English-language Business, finance and economy Journalist (m/w/x)
with a strong interest in reporting and developing stories on Luxembourg's financial sector, economy and business community, in order to develop the Paperjam brand, both print and digital.
Responsibilities
- As a journalist you will write quality, original content in English for the print and digital editions of Paperjam;
- The articles will focus on Luxembourg's financial sector, economy and business community;
- You will also contribute to and help coordinate our daily newsletters and daily online input;
- You will research and develop content that matches the specific requirements of Maison Moderne’s media channels and have the opportunity to moderate live events;
- You will engage in social media management and monitor its performance.
Profile
- You hold university-level qualifications, ideally in journalism, communication, finance, business or economics and already have solid experience working as a journalist or writer;
- You are a superb journalist with a proven ability to write, edit and conduct in-depth research and interviews;
- You also have a solid understanding of digital communication, digital publishing and social media;
- You are dynamic, always positive and have a strong ability to propose story ideas and sources, and creative, fresh ideas.
- You are a reliable source of proposals on how to innovate and improve the media brand;
- You love to boost your team and help them to achieve their best;
- You are able to adapt your writing style to suit different communication channels;
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, can work independently and meet deadlines, and are highly organised;
- You speak and write English at native level and have good knowledge of French; German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered an advantage.
